Arrival & Parking

Holiday Weekend Traffic As it is Memorial Day weekend, traffic in Wine Country will be heavier than usual. We strongly encourage you to allow extra travel time. If you are driving, please be aware there may be checkpoints in the area.

Finding the Venue There are two ways to enter the Swiss Hotel:

  1. Front Entrance: Located through Sonoma Plaza.
  2. Rear Entrance: Accessible via the back parking lot. Note: The rear gate will close shortly before the ceremony begins. If you arrive and the gate is locked, please walk through Sonoma State Historic Park to access the front entrance.

Parking Public parking is available throughout Sonoma Plaza and the surrounding streets. If you plan to use a rideshare service, please note that availability can be limited late at night; we recommend pre-scheduling your ride if possible.

Weather & Attire

Attire: Cocktail Attire. The celebration is fully outdoors and will take place on both grass and concrete, so please choose your footwear accordingly.

Sonoma Microclimates: Late May in Sonoma is beautiful but transitional.

  • Daytime: Expected high of 77°F.
  • After Sunset (8:20 PM): Temperatures drop quickly to the mid-50s. We highly recommend bringing layers (a light jacket, shawl, or wrap) to stay comfortable once the sun goes down and the evening breeze picks up.

Food & Drink

Dinner: A seated Caesar salad followed by a buffet featuring:

  • Braised Short Ribs with red wine reduction
  • Salmon with Beurre Blanc
  • Vegetable Penne Pasta with parmesan pesto
  • Seasonal Vegetables

Drinks: A selection of wine, beer, and cocktails will be served. Late Night: A small snack station will be available later in the evening for the voyage home.

A Few Final Notes

  • Unplugged Ceremony: You are welcome to use your phones throughout the night, but we kindly ask that they be silenced and put away during the ceremony.
  • Honeymoon Fund: Your presence is the greatest gift. However, if you wish to contribute to our honeymoon fund, you may do so via PayPal or Venmo.
